According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Vermont was 4% (sa) in December, 2007. Among all Vermont counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Orleans (6.6%), Grand Isle (6.5%), and Essex (5.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Windsor (3%), Chittenden (3.1%), and Windham (3.6%).
