According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Vermont was 4.7% (sa) in August, 2008. Among all Vermont counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Orleans (5.7%), Essex (5.5%), and Rutland (5.5%).
