According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Vermont was 4.1% (sa) in February, 2008. Among all Vermont counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Orleans (8%), Grand Isle (7.4%), and Essex (6.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Windsor (3.4%), Chittenden (3.6%), and Windham (3.9%).
