According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 7.1% (sa) in February, 2002. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Okanogan (14.4%), Klickitat (14%), and Adams (13.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (5.3%), King (5.4%), and Snohomish (6.2%).
