According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 5.9% (sa) in February, 2005. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (13.1%), Okanogan (11.7%), and Columbia (11.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): King (4.9%), Whitman (5.1%), and Snohomish (5.5%).
