According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 5.6% (sa) in June, 2005. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (8.6%), Lewis (7.8%), and Cowlitz (7.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): San Juan (4.2%), Douglas (4.5%), and King (4.6%).
