According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 4.8% (sa) in April, 2008. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (10.2%), Pend Oreille (9.2%), and Stevens (9%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): King (2.6%), Snohomish (3%), and San Juan (3.6%).
