According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 4.6% (sa) in February, 2008. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (12.6%), Pend Oreille (11.2%), and Skamania (10.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): King (3%), Snohomish (3.5%), and San Juan (4.5%).
