According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 9.3% (sa) in March, 2010. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (19.2%), Pend Oreille (17.3%), and Wahkiakum (15.5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (6.2%), San Juan (7.9%), and Benton (7.9%).
