According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 9.1% (sa) in September, 2010. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (13.4%), Wahkiakum (12.4%), and Pend Oreille (12%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (5.5%), San Juan (5.5%), and Garfield (6.1%).
