According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Washington was 8.8% (sa) in March, 2011. Among all Washington counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Ferry (18%), Wahkiakum (14.4%), and Pend Oreille (14.1%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Whitman (6.4%), Benton (7.5%), and San Juan (7.7%).
