According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 6% (sa) in October, 2003. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Oregon (7.9%), Alaska (7.7%), and South Carolina (7.3%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3.4%), South Dakota (3.5%), and Nebraska (3.9%).
