According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 5% (sa) in November, 2005. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Louisiana (11.6%), Mississippi (8.7%), and Alaska (7%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Hawaii (2.8%), North Dakota (3.2%), and Virginia (3.3%).
