According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 5% (sa) in October, 2005. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Louisiana (11.4%), Mississippi (9%), and South Carolina (7.3%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Florida (2.6%), Hawaii (2.8%), and North Dakota (3.2%).
