According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.4% (sa) in October, 2006. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (7%), Alaska (6.4%), and Mississippi (6.3%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Hawaii (2.3%), Utah (2.5%), and Wyoming (3%).
