According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.4% (sa) in May, 2007. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (6.9%), Alaska (6.2%), and Mississippi (6.2%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Utah (2.5%), Hawaii (2.6%), and Idaho (2.7%).
