US Unemployment Rate By State in November, 2008

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 6.8% (sa) in November, 2008. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (9.6%), Rhode Island (9.2%), and South Carolina (8.9%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Wyoming (3.4%), North Dakota (3.4%), and Utah (3.6%).
