US Unemployment Rate By State in February, 2009

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 8.3% (sa) in February, 2009. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (11.8%), North Carolina (10.8%), and Rhode Island (10.7%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3.9%), Nebraska (4.3%), and South Dakota (4.4%).
