According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 9.9% (sa) in November, 2009. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Michigan (14%), Nevada (12.4%), and California (12.2%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3.8%), South Dakota (4.6%), and Nebraska (4.8%).
