According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 9.5% (sa) in August, 2010. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (13.3%), Michigan (12.5%), and California (12.3%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3.6%), Nebraska (4.5%), and South Dakota (4.8%).
