US Unemployment Rate By State in January, 2012

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 8.3% (sa) in January, 2012. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (12.2%), California (11%), and Rhode Island (10.9%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3%), South Dakota (4.1%), and Nebraska (4.1%).
