According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 7.8% (sa) in October, 2012. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (11.1%), California (10%), and Rhode Island (9.8%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3%), Nebraska (3.8%), and South Dakota (4%).
