According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 8% (sa) in January, 2013. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (10.7%), California (9.7%), and Rhode Island (9.6%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (3%), Nebraska (3.8%), and South Dakota (3.9%).
