According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 5.6% (sa) in December, 2014. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (7.5%), District of Columbia (7.4%), and California (6.9%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (2.6%), Nebraska (3%), and South Dakota (3.2%).
