According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 6.6% (sa) in January, 2014. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (8.9%), Rhode Island (8.9%), and Illinois (8.4%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: North Dakota (2.7%), South Dakota (3.5%), and Nebraska (3.5%).
