According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.8% (sa) in January, 2016. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: New Mexico (6.5%), Alaska (6.4%), and District of Columbia (6.4%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (2.8%), New Hampshire (2.9%), and North Dakota (3%).
