According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.8% (sa) in May, 2016. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: New Mexico (6.7%), Alaska (6.6%), and West Virginia (6.2%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (2.9%), New Hampshire (2.9%), and Hawaii (3%).
