According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.8% (sa) in August, 2018. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Alaska (5.9%), District of Columbia (5.5%), and West Virginia (5%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Vermont (2.3%), North Dakota (2.3%), and Iowa (2.5%).
