US Unemployment Rate By State in May, 2019

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.6% (sa) in May, 2019. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Alaska (5.6%), District of Columbia (5.6%), and Mississippi (5.4%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Vermont (2%), North Dakota (2.1%), and New Hampshire (2.5%).
