US Unemployment Rate By State in December, 2020

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 6.7% (sa) in December, 2020. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Hawaii (10.2%), Nevada (9.6%), and California (9%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (3%), Nebraska (3%), and Utah (3.6%).
