According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.6% (sa) in January, 2020. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Mississippi (5.6%), District of Columbia (5.5%), and Alaska (5.4%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Vermont (2%), North Dakota (2%), and Hawaii (2.2%).
