US Unemployment Rate By State in August, 2022

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.6% (sa) in August, 2022. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (5.2%), Illinois (4.5%), and Kentucky (4.1%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (1.9%), North Dakota (2.1%), and Nebraska (2.3%).
