According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.6% (sa) in May, 2022. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (5.1%), District of Columbia (4.7%), and Illinois (4.5%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (1.9%), North Dakota (1.9%), and Nebraska (2%).
