According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.9% (sa) in April, 2024. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: California (5.3%), District of Columbia (5.2%), and Nevada (5.1%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (2%), North Dakota (2%), and Vermont (2.1%).
