According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.9% (sa) in April, 2024. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (5.4%), California (5.2%), and District of Columbia (5.2%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (1.8%), Vermont (2.1%), and North Dakota (2.3%).
