According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 4.1% (sa) in September, 2024. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (5.7%), California (5.5%), and Kentucky (5.3%).
On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: South Dakota (1.8%), Vermont (2.5%), and North Dakota (2.5%).
