US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Other Assaults Offenses in 2020

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2020, there were 633,704 total arrests made in the US for other assaults offenses. There were 490,395 total arrests made in All Cities; 102,954 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 40,355 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 212,497 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.

In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (344.7), followed by Group I - Cities (318.3), and Group II - Cities (314.4).

  5. Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
  6. Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
