US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Larceny Theft Offenses in 2022

According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 468,839 total arrests made in the US for larceny theft offenses. There were 385,938 total arrests made in All Cities; 68,735 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 14,166 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 188,503 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group V - Cities had the highest (292.8), followed by Group VI - Cities (285.1), and Group IV - Cities (258.7).

- Group II - Cities: Cities with a population of 100,000 to 249,999.

- Group V - Cities: Cities with a population of 10,000 to 24,999.
- Group VI - Cities: Cities with a population under 10,000.
