US Number of Total Arrests By Population Group for Drug Abuse Violations Offenses in 2023
According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 746,292 total arrests made in the US for drug abuse violations offenses. There were 521,461 total arrests made in All Cities; 147,018 total arrests made in Metropolitan Counties; 77,813 total arrests made in Nonmetropolitan Counties; and 289,777 total arrests made in Suburban Areas.
In terms of rate of arrests per 100K inhabitants, Group VI - Cities had the highest (449.7), followed by Nonmetropolitan Counties (346.4), and Group V - Cities (288.3).
