Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the US Citizen Voting-age population was 215.15M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (154.71M) and constituted 71.91% of the total.

The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (26.27M) and constituted 12.21% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (21.69M), constituting 10.08% of the total citizen voting-age population.
