Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen population for Indiana was 6,385,815 and represented 96.91% of the total Indiana population.

Among all Indiana counties, Marion had the highest citizen population (873.67K), followed by Lake (474.79K), and Allen (352.45K).

In terms of percentages, Crawford had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (99.91%), followed by Washington (99.87%), and Union (99.86%).
