Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the New Mexico citizen voting-age population was 1.46M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (673.77K) and constituted 46.02% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (599.42K) and constituted 40.94% of the total. The Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native Alone ethnicity group had the third highest (128.51K), constituting 8.78% of the total citizen voting-age population.
