Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Virginia was 945,515 and represented 15.76% of the total Virginia citizen voting-age population.

Among all Virginia counties, Richmond city had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (80.69K), followed by Norfolk city (76.47K), and Henrico (68.93K).
