Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for West Virginia was 945,515 and represented 65.06% of the total West Virginia citizen voting-age population.

Among all West Virginia counties, Kanawha had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (7.74K), followed by Berkeley (5.85K), and Raleigh (4.94K).
