Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the US Citizen Voting-age population was 226.93M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen voting-age population (157.04M) and constituted 69.20% of the total.

The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen voting-age population (28.28M) and constituted 12.46% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (26.61M), constituting 11.73% of the total citizen voting-age population.
