Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for Virginia was 952,790 and represented 15.74% of the total Virginia citizen voting-age population.

Among all Virginia counties, Richmond city had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (81.90K), followed by Norfolk city (76.86K), and Henrico (70.08K).
