Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population for West Virginia was 952,790 and represented 65.87% of the total West Virginia citizen voting-age population.

Among all West Virginia counties, Kanawha had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen voting-age population (10.20K), followed by Berkeley (5.97K), and Raleigh (4.78K).
