Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Michigan citizen population was 9.64M. The Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group had the highest citizen population (7.40M) and constituted 76.76% of the total. The Non-Hispanic Black or African American Alone ethnicity group had the second highest citizen population (1.35M) and constituted 13.99% of the total. The Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group had the third highest (417.60K), constituting 4.33% of the total citizen population.
