California Citizen Population By County in 2019 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2019, the citizen population for California was 34,187,375 and represented 87.03% of the total California population.

Among all California counties, Los Angeles had the highest citizen population (8.44M), followed by San Diego (2.96M), and Orange (2.74M).

In terms of percentages, Tuolumne had the highest percentage of its population being citizens (98.43%), followed by Sierra (98.36%), and Plumas (98.23%).
