Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2019, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Louisiana was 1,287,245 and represented 28.29% of the total Louisiana citizen population.

Among all Louisiana counties, Orleans had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (230.14K), followed by East Baton Rouge (203.30K), and Caddo (120.15K).
