Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2022, the citizen voting-age population for North Carolina was 7,734,315 and represented 73.87% of the total North Carolina population.

Among all North Carolina counties, Wake had the highest citizen voting-age population (794.40K), followed by Mecklenburg (766.29K), and Guilford (394.46K).

In terms of percentages, Watauga had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (86.01%), followed by Brunswick (84.33%), and Pamlico (83.68%).
